I want original cinematics, original music (well, original music files, in the case of MIDI, I do hate Adlib and have troubles getting past any games that won't let me use MT-32 emulation or MPU-401 general midi,) and original sound including speech. Thing is, call me spoiled all you like (because I am a little spoiled) but, I cannot get past the fact that stuff has been ripped out. It sounds like maybe I missed out on a really good game that I'd really enjoy.

Ok, first of all, I'd like to ask if anyone can point me somewhere to a full unripped copy of this game.

If you pack all files into one archive it should be 2MB MAX. EXW file on the rapidshare web and post somewhere a link to the file as an exchange. I would very much like from you guys who have your original english CD at home if you can upload all. If this is against abandonia rules - operators please let me know (that I can avoid posting the link or even trying to uplod the file) OK I will try to put the english SPEECH.DAT file on rapidshare tomorrow then I provide you link. This has nothing to do with Supporting Warez! Its a fair Way to getting the File! Because i tested this with the french Speech.dat Im not the only Person who really want this Speech.dat. So if someone has the english Speech.dat, please do it. (The biggest&fastest File hosting on the Net! Many serious Sites using this!) With WinUHA it`s possible to compress the File from 214MB to only 78MB! Thats more than 50%! So all to do, is to compress the File and hosting at rapidshare! So, i found some Solution for the Speech.dat File: I'd be interested to know what the deal is with the music data, or if there is actually music at all - the game seems to have a good deal of ambient sound effects.

The windows version only places a couple of megabytes worth of data on the hard drive, and reads the rest of the data (sounds, speech, graphics, etc) from the cd.

Of course, the only way to install the windows version is by gaining access to a cd or image with all of the installation data intact. The proper value for this key is the full path of the directory you installed the game to, such as:ĭouble click on Path and enter the correct value. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Telstar\Fable\Path To make this work in Windows NT/2000/XP, one must manually edit a registry value that the installer fails to create. To obtain the music data (if there actually is music data to be found), it seems likely that one would either have to track down an actual Fable cd, or be fortunate enough to come across an image with the audio tracks intact.Ĭoncerning speech, I was only able to get the game to work with speech by installing the windows version. It is possible that the music for this game was contained in audio tracks alongside the data track, rather than being encoded within a music data file. I have been unable to find any sort of music data file on the cd I have. I have not been able to find any way to get the dos version of Fable to run with speech or music, despite having access to the speech data.

ĭid all that and tried all that, but i still can't save a game! We are proud to be the only site that offers these videos. Both the into and the outro are included in the archive. I downloaded the game a couple days ago and no sound so i downloaded it again and i get sound effects but are there suppose to be voices when the characters are talking or are there suppose to be subtitles?

The music has been removed from the archive, but the sounds are included (including the sounds of the scenery animations, like climbing squirrels and screeching birds). Then just restart the game, and you'll see the dialogue from the first scene. So, in order to show the dialogues as text you need to press Enter to get into the Game Options. This is because the game is meant to include speech. When the game starts for the first time, there will be no visible dialogues. The game will freeze in DOSBox, unless you enhance the cycles to 6000+ (CTRL+F12)!
